Was Your Driver's License Suspended or Revoked?
The loss of your driver's license can have a significant impact on your daily life.
If you drive a vehicle for work, you could lose your job. You may find it difficult to bring your children to school or attend necessary medical appointments. Even mundane activities like getting groceries can be significantly hindered by a suspended driver's license.
Attorney Ken Steinberg is experienced in suspended and revoked driver's license defense. He can represent your interests in a DMV hearing, and help reinstate your driving privileges. Call the Law Offices of Kenneth J. Steinberg at 888-312-5270 for a free consultation to discuss what can be done to get you back behind the wheel.
Types of License Revocations
Our firm represents people facing all types of driver's license revocations:
- Indefinite revocation: A person may receive an indefinite revocation of his or her license for things like failure to appear in traffic court or failure to pay a fine. The driver's license remains revoked until these matters are cleared up.
- Period of time revocation: A driver's license may be revoked for a period of time (usually a year) as a traffic violation or DWI penalty. We may be able to file a Motion for Appropriate Relief, which aims to alter the original court decision and minimize the suspension period.
- Permanent revocation: Those facing permanent license revocations cannot get their driving privileges reinstated unless they convince the proper authorities in a DMV hearing. Unfortunately, a person may have to wait some time before he or she is eligible to request a Durham DMV hearing. Attorney Steinberg strives to change the circumstances in our clients' favor so that they can get their licenses back sooner.
Lawyer Ken Steinberg is experienced and tough when representing clients who lost their driver's licenses. If there is a way to reinstate driving privileges, he will pursue it aggressively. This may involve simply going back and clearing past traffic tickets, or putting together a full argument in your defense at a DMV hearing. His goal is to achieve the best possible outcome.
Limited Driving Privileges
In many cases where a full reinstatement is not possible, we can fight for limited driving privileges. A limited driving permit allows a person to travel to and from work, required medical appointments and other specified locations. This outcome may be possible in certain circumstances:
- High speed revocation
- First-time DWI cases
- Other traffic violation offenses
